As a committed member of her Mid-Coast Maine community, Marcia brings a unique blend of local care and professional expertise to her practice, fostering a welcoming and supportive community for all her students. Marcia has 40 years of yoga practice, and earned yoga teacher certification in 2000 with Patricia Brown of Body Prayers Yoga and Rolling Meadows Yoga and Meditation Retreats. Marcia is a certified Relax and Renew Level I Restorative Yoga Teacher through Judith Hanson Lasater’s program and also holds a certification in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra through Jennifer Reis Yoga. Marcia’s influences include modern dance with her beloved late teacher Mary Blum, 5Rhythms ecstatic dance, Qoya, Feldenkreis, and her own yoga teachers over the years: Patricia Brown, Kate O’Connor, Jan Cillo, and Carla Stangenberg.
Marcia lives on Maine’s Great Salt Bay with her spouse and founder of Hootenanny Bread, their teenager, and intrepid dog.
